Default values in fields

It would be helpful, in creating a product from scratch, to be able to assign a default value in the fields, which could still be overwritten if necessary, to reduce typing with the same values over and over for most products. It would also be helpful to have the flexibility to assign fields that are actually required by the channels, but are not in the Product Properties Channel Requirements.

If I could choose, I would have most of the fields I use for product fields, plus Registered Parameter, UPC Examption, Department, Brand, Shipping Weight Value, Shipping Weight Unit, all metal fields (since most my products are just one type of metal, but some aren't, so the need for override), Product Tax Code (which I think is already defaulted), Stone Gem Type (with override), and Target Audience.

Hi Julie, do you have a few examples of properties that you'd want to have the same default value for products (ex. description, weight, dimensions, style, etc).?
