We are trying to display a simple indicator badge on .checkout-giftCert-header during checkout to notify logged-in customers if they have available gift certificates or store credit on their account.

Currently, $$EXISTINGGIFTCERTIFICATESDROPDOWN$$ and <ac:visibilityarea id="ExistingGiftCertificatesArea"> are only rendered inside .checkout-giftCert-body after the accordion header is manually clicked (via ASP.NET AJAX).

We went through and tested all the existing Gift Certificate related merge code on OnePageCheckOut page but could not find any that work on the OnePageCheckOut page.

We would like to make a merge code like ##GIFTCERTIFICATEBALANCE## or ##GIFTCERTIFICATECODES## available on OnePageCheckOut so we can conditionally highlight available store credit without resorting to background AJAX calls.
