The merge code that shows why a credit card was declined (##PAYMENTDECLINEDREASON##) use to work on the checkout page, but it no longer does. So currently there is no way to display to the customer why their card was declined. This merge code does work in the declined email template, but seems like we should be able to show that at time of checkout, not have to send the customer an email with a link to try again.
